Faculty Designations Clinical Faculty A Clinical Faculty member is a person, usually a physician, who has made a significant time commitment (usually full time) to the University of Kentucky and whose primary area of emphasis is the clinical practice of medicine, including medical administration. These faculty members typically have a terminal degree, usually an M.D./D.O., appropriate to their activities. A Clinical Faculty person is usually a member of a clinical department. The Clinical Faculty designation is contractual in nature and will be coupled with assignment in the University's Clinical Title Series. This faculty member's efforts will focus heavily on patient care and related activities. Clinical Faculty members frequently participate in teaching activities, particularly in the clinical instruction of medical students, residents, and other health professions students. |
