CLINICAL SERVICES

The College of Medicine clinical faculty provide clinical services through UK HealthCare at the UK Chandler Hospital, Kentucky Children’s Hospital, three Kentucky clinics, 80 specialized clinics and various outreach programs across the Commonwealth.

UK HealthCare provides progressive programs and services including heart and lung transplantation; autologous and mismatched bone marrow transplantation; Gamma knife treatment of intracranial tumors and vascular malformations; comprehensive trauma services; women’s health services, including maternal and fetal medicine and gynecologic oncology; and pediatrics. In addition, UK places special emphasis on the neurosciences, cancer and cardiac care. With 24 percent of its beds dedicated to critical care and the services of the UK Hospital Aero Medical Service and the Critical Care Center, UK leads the state in its commitment to providing acute and intensive care services for the citizens of the Commonwealth.
