Elective in Orthopaedic SurgeryCOURSE TITLE: Elective in Orthopaedic Surgery COURSE COORDINATOR: Todd Milbrandt, M.D. OBJECTIVES: Familiarize student with evaluation of patients with musculoskeletal complaints. Physical exam, diagnosis, and treatment are emphasized. CONTENT AND METHOD OF TEACHING: Students may participate in orthopaedic morning conferences (schedule with time and location sent monthly) and/or shadow in the Orthopaedic clinic on the first floor of the KY Clinic. The student must coordinate a time for shadowing with one of the participating physicians. The student should complete a total of 8 experiences either in the clinic or in morning conference. REQUIREMENTS: N/A NUMBER OF STUDENTS: 3 CREDIT HOURS: 1-2 MEETING DATE/TIME: TBA |
