Scholarships For Disadvantaged Students (SDS) The Scholarships for Disadvantaged Students (SDS) Program is a federal program. There are NO primary service commitments in the SDS program. Students may qualify for the SDS based on:
To be considered for the SDS program, you must submit parent income and asset information on the 2008-2009 FAFSA Web site. You will need to provide your parent's 2007 tax information on your FAFSA. (Do not submit estimated tax information). If you want to apply for the SDS, complete the SDS Request Form (form-fill). (For seond, third, and fourth year medical students only) The form may be completed on your computer, printed and then signed. The deadline for submitting it to the Financial Aid Office is April 1, 2008. All recipients must meet disadvantaged-student-criteria and may be requested to provide documentation of this status.
