Important Dates

Early Decision Candidate

• August 1, 2008 - AMCAS Application Deadline
• September 15, 2008 - Secondary Application Deadline
• September 2 - September 20, 2008 - Interviews
• October 1, 2008 - Admission Action Notification Deadline

For Early Decision applicants, all supplementary materials (including letters of recommendations) must be received by the Secondary Application deadline. We cannot stress enough the importance of getting all your materials in and making sure your file is complete as early as possible.

NOTE:  The Early Decision program allows applicants to apply to and receive a decision from one medical school by October 1st, while allowing sufficient time to apply to other schools if not accepted.  For more information, please refer to the AMCAS EDP Web site.

Non-Early Decision Candidates

• November 1, 2008 - AMCAS Application Deadline
• January 15, 2009 - Secondary Application Deadline
• September 2 - March 28, 2009 - Interviews
• October 15, 2008 - Earliest Date of Admission Action Notification

Since our interviews and admissions are on a rolling basis (based on the date of completion of your file) it is very important that you complete your file as early as possible. This includes your Secondary Application, letters of recommendation, current scores and GPAs, etc. Our class is typically filled and oversubscribed in late December or early January, so those who show more urgency in the application process do tend to reap the benefits.

Interview Dates
Interview invitations are offered to eligible applicants who have completed files which have been selectively screened for competitiveness. Interviews for the 2008-2009 cycle are scheduled in the Leader Building during a two week rotation. We typically interview at 9 a.m. on Tuesdays and Saturdays, followed by a committee meeting the following Thursday. Necessary adjustments are made to accommodate holidays. We schedule the early decision applicants in September and follow with regular applicant interviews up through March. Specific time, date and location information is included in each invitation if an applicant has a conflict, we make every attempt to reschedule them at a more convenient time.
