Computer Lab Overview

The computer lab is equipped with forty nine workstations with Windows, Office and SCM installed. Each system has a secure login procedure to protect important data. The workstations can be customized to install client’s software or connect to internet resources. To facilitate lectures, a sixty inch flat panel display is available for presentations and video review. Presenters and students also have the option to bring their own laptops and connect to the video display or internet though the Learning Center’s wireless network.

Primary:

  1. Provide consultation and support for College of Medicine faculty, staff and students
  2. Provide development service for faculty, staff and students

Secondary:

  1. Provide access to College of Medicine courseware
  2. Provide access to the e-mail system
  3. Provide access to on-line research services
  4. Provide access to the Internet in general

The COM computer lab is open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The student labs are open to students 24 hours a day.


Technology Support Options

We offer telephone support (323-3580) and if all else fails you can bring your misbehaving machine "into the shop"
