Academic Computing in Medical Education

The College of Medicine has a nationally recognized program of Academic Computing in Medical Education (ACME). ACME provides a wide variety of services to enhance student learning, improve faculty effectiveness, increase faculty-student interaction and offer interactive instruction. These educational support services are offered in facilities located in the College of Medicine, the Academic Medical Center, and in the Area Health Education Centers in Kentucky (located in Hazard, Morehead, and Corbin.)

Support for the Curriculum

ACME supports the College of Medicine's educational mission by making lecture-learning more interactive, providing clinical case simulations to enhance problem-solving skills, producing computer assisted instructional packages, maintaining indexes to available software for medical education and offering a rich array of computer assisted instructional packages for independent study.
