WelcomeFor a listing of pages within the OME site, please visit the Office of Medical Education Site Map. The Office of Medical Education is responsible for coordinating services that relate to students and the associated educational programs of the College of Medicine. The goals of the University of Kentucky College of Medicine that are implemented by the Office of Medical Education are to select outstanding students, to provide educational programs of high quality, to assist students in achieving their educational goals by providing a variety of support services, and to assure high standards for graduation from the College. The Office of Medical Education is under the guidance of the Senior Associate Dean for Medical Education. The Senior Associate Dean for Medical Education is responsible for administering the curriculum of the medical school. This includes monitoring departmental course offerings, coordinating student evaluations of the courses, developing the curriculum schedules, and processing the development of new or revised course offerings. These activities are conducted under the guidance of the Curriculum Committee, the Senior Associate Dean for Medical Education, the Associate Dean for Admissions and Educational Research, and the Assistant Deans for Student Affairs, Curriculum, Student Assessment and Program Evaluation, and Graduate Medical Education. |
