![]() In 2011 the National Institutes of Health awarded UK's Center for Clinical and Translational Science $20 million to move research discoveries to health care solutions more quickly. Awarded though the NIH's institutional Clinical and Translational Science Awards, this designation makes UK's Center for Clinical and Translational Science a part of a select national biomedical research consortium. Research SupportThe University of Kentucky College of Medicine faculty members conduct basic, clinical and transitional research in a multitude of areas including aging, cardiovascular disease, cancer, obesity and diabetes, substance abuse, neuroscience and more. Research discovery funds enable talented investigators to pursue research that might later attract grants from the N.I.H or private foundations. |
