Lexington, Kentucky.

The University of Kentucky is located in Lexington, in the heart of Kentucky's pristine Bluegrass Region. Known as The Horse Capital of The World, Lexington has a population of more than 400,000 and is Kentucky's second largest city. In 2006, Lexington ranked 13th in Kiplinger's 50 Smart Places to Live based on factors such as cost of living and housing, quality health care, low crime rate, economic vitality, and quality of life (weather, cultural amenities and transportation). In a recent survey of "Best Places for Postdocs" conducted by The Scientist, the University of Kentucky ranked tenth among all research universities. The top-ranking institutions all possessed a common culture of collaboration and a commitment to teaching, as well as an emphasis on training and career counseling. We invite you to visit Lexington to enjoy the city’s perfect combination of breathtaking beauty and cosmopolitan amenities that offer something for everyone.

Please visit Lexfinder as you plan your visit. It was put together by the UK College of Medicine as a guide for people new to the Lexington area. The links and directions below will assist you in locating us.
