Rachelle Lehner, Director of Staff Education
Rachelle joined the University
of Kentucky Hospital as the Director of Staff Education
on June 13, 2005. She comes to us from the University of
Georgia where she served as the Coordinator for Service and Support
Staff Development for the Department of University Housing
(2001-2005). In this role she was responsible for planning and
teaching staff development classes, leading and overseeing quality
initiatives, and coordinating an adult basic education program (GED,
computer literacy, adult literacy, English as a Second Language,
etc).
Prior to her work at the
University of Georgia, Rachelle worked at Lexington Medical Center,
a 300 bed facility in West Columbia, South Carolina (1997-2001).
At Lexington Medical Center she was responsible for determining
educational needs, establishing non-clinical educational goals,
coordinating and facilitating educational activities, facilitating
process improvement teams, and teaching classes on a variety of
topics.
Rachelle holds a PhD in Human
Resources and Organizational Development from the University of
Georgia, a Master of
Science degree from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio and a Bachelor
of Arts degree from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.

Andrea Back, Staff Support Associate, Staff Education
Andrea joined The Staff Education Department in
February 2008. She is responsible for registering staff for classes, reserving rooms, and answering
questions from staff concerning course content.

Morgan Mason
Performance Improvement/Computer Based
Learning Coordinator, Staff
Education
Morgan joined the University
of Kentucky Chandler Hospital as Performance Improvement/Computer Based
Learning Coordinator in Staff Education Services in March, 2008.
In her new position she will be responsible for New Employee Hospital
Orientation and will be coordinating the use of the Net Learning system
with End users and the programmers maintaining that system. Morgan
will also be offering a variety of training programs through the
Learning Center and participating in performance improvement activities
with various areas throughout the hospital.
Morgan holds a Master's degree in
Health Administration and a Master's degree in Business Administration.

Gulden Smith
Lead Information Technology Trainer, Staff
Education
Gulden joined the Staff
Education Team in 1994. She is responsible for coordinating the computer
schedules for physicians,
medical students, nursing staff, nursing students, and other staff on UK
Hospital patient care systems. In her role as the lead , she is
also responsible for training new technical trainers. She provides
advanced training for Patient Management,
Patient Care, SCM, and SCV systems. She teaches SCM Order Entry, ED
Manager, Medi-Pac functions, and ACE/AIM
OP Registration.
Gulden has a Master's degree in
Education and has been a technology trainer and an educator for more than
20 years.

Ed Drummond
Information Technology Trainer, Staff
Education
Ed trains employees on the Resource Scheduling System,
Patient Management Introduction, and Outlook. He also teaches special classes to Pharm.D. students, nursing orientation, house
staff, and medical students.
Ed has Bachelor's degree and has been an educator off
and on for over 20 years and has been in Staff Education for 8 years.

Stefanie Strinko
Information Technology Trainer, Staff
Education
Stefanie joined the Staff Education
Team December 2007. She trains employees on SCM, SCV, Patient Management Introduction.
She also teaches special classes to students, nursing orientation, and house
staff.

in Business Administration from
Xavier University and has been an educator for 3 years.

Mike Bratcher
Information Technology Trainer, Staff
Education
Mike joined the Staff Education team
February, 2007. He trains employees on the Resource Scheduling
System. He also teaches special classes to students, nursing
orientation, house staff. He will be the Net Learning upgrade
coordinator and end-user expert.
Mike graduated from UK with honors
and holds a Bachelor's degree in English and music with
an emphasis in technical writing. He has previously worked here in MCIS as
a Senior Systems Analyst/Programmer and has been an educator for 20
years.
