Kentucky Telecare

Kentucky TeleCareThe University Of Kentucky Department Of Telemedicine works with many local areas across the state to keep patients from having to travel long distances to see specialty doctors. Some of the clinics that have telemedicine are in Eastern Kentucky areas such as Morehead, Hazard, Prestonsburg, and many others.

When your family doctor asks you to visit a specialist that is at the University of Kentucky, it may be possible for you to use Telemedicine for your visit to keep you from traveling to Lexington saving time and money.

Telemedicine uses video conferencing, which is the use of televisions and communication lines, to perform the visit. Ask your doctor about using telemedicine.
