From the Director to all Kentuckians:
While Kentuckians face many healthcare challenges, none is greater than the lack of access to all needed healthcare resources. Patients in rural Kentucky must sometimes seek the care of a specialist that is not located in their home community. The University of Kentucky’s telehealth program, the Kentucky TeleCare Network, and the statewide, Kentucky TeleHealth Network, uses videoconference technology to bring physicians and patients together from across the state, as well as across the world. Telehealth is transforming our healthcare system. Now it is possible for a patient to see their UK physician without having to drive to Lexington. Our website will give you some idea of how this works, and I welcome you to call me for more information. We look forward to serving you.
