Traffic Injury Research and Prevention Program (TIRPP)

The Traffic Injury Research and Prevention Program (TIRPP) has a primary focus on the integration of Kentucky’s traffic records data systems to support traffic safety surveillance and research. The TIPP represents a continuation of Kentucky’s Crash Outcome Data Evaluation System (CODES), a program that was supported by funding from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) from 1999 through 2013. The Kentucky Office of Highway Safety has provided support for several TIPP data integration projects since the NHTSA CODES program ended.
