Driver Inspection Training

Disclaimer: This training is in no way affiliated with or sponsored by the Department of Transportation, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, or the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance.

Welcome to the Driver Inspection Online Training, developed by KOSHS, in partnership with the Kentucky Trucking Association. This training details the steps involved in a Level 3 Driver Inspection.

This inspection is often carried out by an official at roadside and consists of an examination of the driver's license, medical certification waiver (if applicable), driver's record of duty status, hours of service, seat belt, vehicle inspection report, and HM requirements. Each module will cover the assigned topic and will conclude with a quiz. A printable scorecard containing the module score will be at the end of each module, but it is recommended that you set up a personalized online portal to track employee scores and progress (see below).

Request a Free Online Portal for Your Employees

It is highly recommended that you take advantage of the free, personalized online training portal to keep track of module completion and quiz scores for your employees. This option allows your employees to sign in with their own username and password and complete the quizzes at their own pace. Management will be able to log into the portal and monitor the progress and scores of each individual employee. This free service is offered for up to 50 employees.

Please contact Michael Turner, KOSHS Project Manager to request a free online training portal set up for your company at
