Corrie Scott, Academic Advisor in the College of Health Sciences, returns to her alma mater after having spent the past four years in between Orlando and Nashville. Having received both her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and her Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration from UK, she spent two years working in the Center for Academic & Tutorial Services working as an academic graduate assistant with the football team while working towards her master’s degree. Following graduation, she spent almost three years at the University of Central Florida as the Coordinator of Academic Support Services in Academic Services for Student-Athletes. During her time there, her responsibilities included the development and coordination of the mentoring and tutoring programs as well as overseeing academic advising for the women’s track & field, men’s soccer and men’s cross country teams.
Immediately prior to joining the staff here, Corrie spent a year working on a grant at Tennessee State University in Nashville, helping to further develop advising services there in the College of Arts & Sciences.
In her new position here in the College of Health Sciences, Corrie has the following responsibilities: advising students in the Communication Disorders, Clinical Lab Science & Clinical Leadership & Management programs, meeting with prospective students for all the undergraduate degree programs as well as the graduate programs including the Physical Therapy & Physician’s Assistant programs, will travel across the state to recruit for undergrad & graduate programs, as well as work to increase diversity in all of our programs.
