Gilson Capilouto. Back to Top AED & CPR Classes - Open to Faculty & StaffDo you want to be prepared in a medical emergency? Has your CPR/AED certification run out? Well, you are in luck! The College of Health Sciences is offering CPR and AED training on the following dates & times: Monday, February 27 at 8:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 28 at 8:00 a.m., and Friday, April 6 at 11:00 a.m.. All three trainings will be held in the Commons room. This training is being taught by Marcy Thobaben of Bluegrass Health & Safety. Each training session is approximately 3 hours long. The trainings are being done together as there have been new CPR Guidelines put into effect in 2011. If you are interested in attending, please respond to the following link: 2012 AED & CPR Training. February is Black History MonthThe University of Kentucky’s Diversity Education &
Community Building component is proud to announce the 2012 Black History
Month Collaborative. This group of students, organizations,
and academic partners has worked diligently to ensure a cohesive schedule of
cultural events, lectures, and more will be offered during the month of
February. The goal of the BHM Collaborative is to promote a community
celebration that provokes thought through innovative educational
opportunities that specifically pertain to history and culture of the
African Diaspora. DE&CB aspires to provide a unified front for
nationally recognized cultural awareness months, and an opportunity to
cultivate new traditions and opportunities for appreciation of cultural and
