Congratulations to Terry Malone, Ed.D., PT, ATC, FAPTA, for receiving the Sports Physical Therapy Section of the American Physical Therapy Association's (APTA) Lifetime Excellence in Education Award. Terry has made an important impact in contributing to the education of entry-level students and post-professional physical therapists for many years.

Susan Effgen, Ph.D., PT, will be presenting the third annual Susan Effgen Advocacy Award that honors a member of the APTA Section on Pediatrics who has made an outstanding contribution to pediatric physical therapy, including leadership in the areas of advocacy and government affairs at the regional, state, or national level. Educational Enhancement Grants 2012

Faculty-

The call for Educational Enhancements awards for 2012-2013 is now open. The application can be accessed via the College website at http://www.mc.uky.edu/healthsciences/academic/about.html by selecting “Education Enhancement Grants” and then “Information and Application”.

The committee asks that you please consider the following:

  1. All applications will be considered; however, the committee is especially interested in reviewing proposals that attract new revenue/additional students through distance learning, summer school or winter session.
  2. A Gantt chart is now required so faculty can provide a timeline for completion of project tasks and activities (template under ‘Information and Application’).
  3. In addition to the required written report, recipients will prepare a brief oral report for presentation at a College meeting. This report does not need to be submitted to the ADAA and is meant to showcase project objectives and results, and stimulate additional ideas.

If you have any questions please contact Gilson Capilouto.
