University of Michigan CRLT Players offer mentoring workshopThe CRLT Players use a diverse array of performance arts to demonstrate effective and ineffective mentoring. Back to Top 2011 Faculty Performance ReviewsAll resource materials for the 2011 Faculty Performance Review process have been loaded to the CHS Academic Affairs website http://www.mc.uky.edu/healthsciences/academic/about.html. Click on the gray bar labeled Faculty Performance Review to find all materials needed for this year’s process. • November 14 - Deadline for faculty member to update entries to Digital Measures for 2011 and print out preliminary FPRR. Faculty members should make needed changes to the FPRR as described above. Any issues with Digital Measures or the FPRR should be corrected at this time. • November 30 - Final date for faculty member to submit packet, including electronic copy of FPRR, to Director. NOTE: FPRR can be updated at any time up to submission. Back to TopSave the Date for CHS eventso College Thanksgiving Potluck, November 14, 11:30 – 2:00 PM, The Commons 127 The Thanksgiving Potluck Dinner will be on Monday, November 14th from 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. in the Commons, CTW 127. Please bring two canned goods/non-perishable food items as your "ticket" to the potluck. Food donations go to God's Pantry Food Bank. You may also place items in boxes placed around the college. The Holiday Food Drive is active until November 14th. If you have any questions please contact Kristie Bruner. There are lists now circulating in each department/division
where you can sign up for a contribution item. Division Directors are asked
to please tally RSVPs for the Thanksgiving Potluck so that the
Staff Council can order the appropriate amount of turkey and ham.

Back to Top Silent Auction/Harvest BreakfastThe Silent Auction/Harvest Breakfast will be held on Friday, November 11th. The breakfast will be $3.00 and will begin at 9:00 a.m. in The Commons. The bidding for the auction will begin at 9:00 a.m. and close at 3:00 p.m. If you would like to donate an item for the auction or a baked good for the Harvest Breakfast please contact Kristie Bruner, kbrun2@uky.edu. Proceeds from the silent auction and the Harvest Breakfast will benefit 'Backpacks for Kids' which gives school supplies to low-income elementary students. This event is sponsored by Staff Council. All auction items must be turned in no later than Friday,
November 4th. Requests for Information to All Faculty• ALL faculty should submit an updated vita to Keturah Taylor by November 1st to be placed in the Standard Personnel File in the Dean’s Office regardless of whether or not you are being reviewed this year. Please contact Keturah if you have questions. • ALL faculty should have their productivity data for 2011 added to Digital Measures by December 1st. The Colleges uses this information for multiple metrics in the College Strategic Plan and State of the College Address. In addition, we will use the information in Digital Measures to respond to data requests from the Provost’s Office regarding faculty leadership positions and fellows, presentation and publication information and the annual diversity report. Questions about data entry into Digital measures should be addressed to Rena Murphy or to the administrative assistant/associate in your division/department. Back to TopNew and Improved Undergraduate Research ContractsMost current syllabi/undergrad research contracts are now available for student working in lab as volunteers, for HSE 595, and those in lab for academic credit (other than HSE595). The most up to date versions of the forms are available on the undergraduate research website. Click here to access the student forms page. *If you have an undergraduate working in lab and have not yet signed a contract for that student this semester, please do so ASAP and return to the Research Office in 105. Back to TopUK EMI Site is Live and Ready for CompletionAll faculty and staff are encouraged to complete the on-line UK Engagement Measurement Instrument (EMI) for all engagement activity participated in during the calendar year 2010. The instrument is currently live and will remain open through the end of November. As of Tuesday of this week, only thirteen CHS faculty and staff members have entered information into the system.
