Undergraduate Research - New CHS Course and Improved ContractUndergraduate research for the college is now using course mechanism HHS 455: Research In the Health Sciences (CH 1-6). We are no longer enrolling students in HSE-595. Please remember to encourage those needing credit hours outside of their majors to register for HHS 455. Additionally, students are inquiring about Fall semester opportunities. Think outside the box and contact Cynthia.Byars@uky.edu if you have an opportunity to post online. Finally, we consolidated the UGR contracts into ONE form for simplicity! (The HHS-455 paperwork includes the same form but is also a syllabus). To access the form(s), click here. PREPaRE Grant Is Re-FundedThe Department of Occupational Therapy at Eastern Kentucky University, in collaboration with the Department of Rehabilitation Sciences, have received 5 additional years of funding from the U.S. Department of Education for personnel development. PREPaRE (Preparing Related Services Personnel for Rural Employment) will fund 4 UK physical therapy students per year, 4 EKU occupational therapy students per year, and 6 EKU or UK speech language pathology students per year. Each student will receive up to $12,500 for their final year of graduate education. from powerful, protective compounds. Media Depot Grand Opening August 27The Media Depot Grand Opening event is Tuesday, August 27 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the basement of W.T. Young Library. Ribbon Cutting Ceremony will be held at 11:30 a.m. UK President Eli Capilouto, Provost Dr. Christine Riordan, Senior Vice Provost Dr. Vince Kellen and several other UK administrators plan to attend the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony. Snacks will be served. Plus, capture a fun image using the Media Depot’s mini studio featuring a “green screen.” You choose the adventure, then the Depot will TWEET the image so everyone can share your fun.
