Safe, Swift, Sustainable W-2
UK employees now have the option of accessing W-2 statements online. The new
Safe, Swift, Sustainable W-2 program will allow faculty, staff and students
currently employed by UK to receive W-2 forms through the Employee
Self Service portion of
Employees who enroll give the University consent to only provide their W-2s online. Instructions on how to give consent are available here. Consent must be given by Saturday, January 18, 2014. Enrolled employees will no longer receive a paper W-2 in the mail but will be able to view and print their W-2 at an earlier date.
As an incentive to sign up, employees who enroll by the
January 18 deadline will be eligible for a random drawing for prizes that
include UK basketball game tickets and one pair of airline tickets ..

The schedule for the January 10 Spring Kickoff is as follows: A College lunch will be provided at 12:00 in the Commons. The first College Meeting of the spring semester will be held from 1:00 – 2:30 in the Commons. We will have announcements during the first part of the meeting. The Provost will arrive at 1:30 to meet with all CHS faculty and staff. This is an important meeting and an opportunity for you to meet with the Provost. Teachers Who Made a Difference Nominations
College of Education's Teachers Who Made a Difference program is now
accepting submissions for the 2014 program.
Governor Jon Huntsman of Utah, the former US Ambassador to
China, will deliver a lecture at UK on Thursday, February 20, 2014, at 7
p.m., in Memorial Hall. This lecture will address the possibilities and
challenges represented by the current US relationship with China. A Q&A period
will follow the lecture. Please encourage your students to attend if the topic
is relevant to your courses or the workplace for which we are preparing our
The lecture will be free of charge, and is sponsored by the Office of the President, UK International Center, and the UK Confucius Institute. The lecture title and complete information will be forthcoming in January.Back to Top

ACE Presents Glimpse of First 'Elf Jr.' Musical
The University of Kentucky Academy for Creative Excellence (ACE) is proud to present the pilot performance of "Elf Jr." for iTheatrics and Music Theatre International (MTI). The musical, based on the popular holiday movie, will take the stage for six performances Dec. 19-21, at Lexington Christian Academy.
In "Elf Jr.," audiences follow Buddy the Elf on his journey from the North Pole to New York City to find his human father, Walter Hobbs. Buddy discovers that a family is the best Christmas gift he could ever receive, and he spreads plenty of cheer along the way. Read the UKNOW article.
