Nathan F. Johnson, DPT, PhD, Instructor, UK College of Medicine, Department of Anatomy & Neurobiology, will present “Exploring the Relationship Between Cardiorespiratory Fitness and the Brain,” Monday, December 9, 2-3 p.m., CTW 219.

Leann Kerr, PT, DHS,CBIS, Physical Therapist, Cardinal Hill Rehabilitation, Will present “Fall Risk Assessment at Admission and Discharge in Clients with Acquired Brain Injury in Post-Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation: a Theoretical and Clinical Model,” Thursday, December 12, 12-1 p.m., CTW 219.

Governor Jon Huntsman of Utah, the former US Ambassador to China, will deliver a lecture at UK on Thursday, February 20, 2014, at 7 p.m., in Memorial Hall. This lecture will address the possibilities and challenges represented by the current US relationship with China. A Q&A period will follow the lecture. Please encourage your students to attend if the topic is relevant to your courses or the workplace for which we are preparing our students. 

The lecture will be free of charge, and is sponsored by the Office of the President, UK International Center, and the UK Confucius Institute. The lecture title and complete information will be forthcoming in January.

Back to TopUK to Host 2014 National Conference on Undergraduate Research


The University of Kentucky will host the National Conference on Undergraduate Research on April 3-5, 2014. As many as 4,000 researchers from across the country as well as internationally will come to UK to present the results of their research efforts in the form of poster sessions and oral presentations. In addition, there will be numerous Plenary Speakers, Student Interest Sessions, UK Open Houses, presentations by student organization, special events and entertainment, and more. This will be a stellar opportunity for our undergraduate researchers to showcase their accomplishments and the productivity of the research groups with whom they work.

UK Employees Offered Free Tickets to UK Women's Hoops Dec. 22

Current UK employees may receive up to four complimentary tickets for the Kentucky Women's Basketball 'PACK THE HOUSE' game vs. Duke at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 22, at Rupp Arena. For this event only, you may call the UK Ticket Office at 859-257-1818 with your employee ID number or bring your UK Employee ID to the Joe Craft Center Ticket Office 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday-Friday, to pick up the tickets.
