The CHS Annual Silent Auction will be Tuesday,
November 5, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the 127 CTW
(Commons). Each year, we choose a community service activity that will
benefit from the funds raised through this fun-filled event. As of now, we
are in the process of choosing one and will inform you of our decision as
soon as possible.
Please consider making an in-kind donation to our auction.
All items are welcome and much appreciated. Items can include, but are not
limited to, gift baskets, gift certificates, home decor, etc. For example, if
you are a chef and would like to teach three to four people how to prepare a
particular dish or a wine connoisseur and would like to have a wine tasting at
your house, these services can be donated. We ask that donated items and
services be submitted by Friday, November 1 to either Kathy Schuler-Ringo
in CTW 204 or to Margo Ubele in CTW 433.
In addition, we will also raise money through our Harvest
Breakfast held prior to the auction from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m. All faculty and staff
are welcome! If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Margo Ubele

Free Jin Shin Jyutsu Classes Available to UK HealthCare Employees
All UK HealthCare employees are invited to learn how to relax this holiday season through Jin Shin Jyutsu, an ancient oriental art of harmonizing life energy within the body offered by the University of Kentucky Markey Cancer Center.
Markey's Jin Shin Jyutsu (JSJ) self-help classes teach participants how to utilize this practice for stress relief and other uncomfortable body symptoms. The seminars, hosted by practitioner Jennifer Bradley, will focus on how individuals can use self-help holds on each of their fingers to control various stressful emotions.
Classes are offered the fourth Wednesday of the month from 1-2 p.m. in room 208 of the Combs Research Building. Pre-registration is not required. The classes are free of charge and open to all UK HealthCare employees.
