Nearly 1,000 U.S. corporations will match gifts by their employees and board members to institutions of higher education. The University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center receives many thousands of dollars each year through its corporate matching gift program. If you employer has such a program, please take advantage of it. Most corporations match dollar-for-dollar, but some match 2-for-1 and a few match on a 3-to-1 basis. Consult your personnel office for information about matching gifts. To take advantage of matching gifts, send in your company’s matching gift form with your gift. Your individual gift is tax deductible.
