The University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center is one of the pre-eminent components of the University of Kentucky. Envisioning future needs – and proactively preparing to meet those needs – is a hallmark of the Medical Center. State appropriations or tuition support only 16 percent of the Medical Center budget. Gifts from individuals, corporations and foundations are vital to the Medical Center’s mission of excellence in education, research, patient care and public service. Private investment is a part of the funding strategy designed to develop and sustain the range and excellence of UK programs for training health care professionals.

The Campaign for the University of Kentucky will help the Medical Center launch its clinical and educational programs into the 21^st Century with patient-friendly facilities, state-of-the-art research laboratories, and gifted and experienced teachers interacting with superior students.
