Congrats Rebecca

Bring those happy hands together for Rebecca d’Angelo, who has just entered the realms of Doctoral Candidacy with a fine defense of her qualifying exams on December 6, 2007. Way-to-go Rebecca.

Dr. Nancy Schoenberg 2007 Distinguished Affiliate Faculty

Dr. Schoenberg was selected to give the first annual Graduate Center for Gerontology Distinguished Affiliate Faculty Lecture. She gave a stellar presentation on October 30, 2007 on Aging and Engaging. She was also recently elected to serve as a Member at Large for the Gerontological Society of America. Congratulations Nancy.

Welcome Dr. Marken

Let’s have some wall-shaking skin-smacking applause for Dr. Dory Marken who successfully defended her dissertation, “Beliefs of Grandmothers Raising Grandchildren in their Provision of Nutrition,” on October 4, 2007. Her committee included Drs. John Watkins (chair), Graham Rowles, Anne Peden, Maria Boosalis, and Malcolm Cutchin (UNC-Chapel Hill, outside examiner). Please join me in congratulating the newest member of the club. Way-to-go Dory.
