Twilla comes to Gerontology with a background in interior design and occupational therapy providing consultation and therapy services within the community. Her research concentration is aging and environments, particularly housing that permits life balance and wellness within the community. Twilla is a student member of the Environmental Design Research Association and is interested in collaborative research with the design industry to assure environments and communities that support the needs of the aged. Additionally, Twilla is interested in lifelong learning programing. She serves as student representative to committees in both the Association for Gerontology in Higher Education and the Gerontology department.
