Dory holds a faculty appointment as Associate Professor of Occupational Therapy at Eastern Kentucky University. Service to the University includes past roles of Faculty Senator and Occupational Therapy Admission’s Chair, Promotion and Tenure Chair, Fieldwork Management Chair, and Development Chair. Dory earned a sabbatical leave for the 2006-2007 academic year and received a grant to support her dissertation research from the American Occupational Therapy Foundation. Areas of teaching expertise include occupation-based practice in health systems and long-term care. Research interest focuses on grandparents raising grandchildren.
