Tyler Dugar is a fourth year student in the PhD program in Gerontology. He completed his B.A. in Zoology at Miami University with a minor in Gerontology in 1998. At Miami, Tyler interned at the Alois Alzheimer’s Center and completed a study on religiosity and social networks. While at UK, he has participated in research concerning end of life-decision making by guardians, older women who experience intimate partner violence, and has completed a national survey on elder mistreatment. He passed his qualifying exams in the areas of religion, spirituality, and aging, public policy and aging, and elder mistreatment in May, 2003. Tyler’s dissertation work examines the impact of the megachurch on older Americans.
