Informatics

A clinical investigator must be able to publish his/her scientific findings. This requires that data be collected accurately, monitored appropriately, secured, managed effectively, and is accessible for analysis and reporting. The mission of the Informatics Core is to provide the information infrastructure necessary to accomplish these tasks.
Informatics core provides services for data management using Microsoft Access and SQL server, electronic data collection, and data reporting.
Services
  • Subject Phone Follow-up Tracking System

This is a web-based system that keeps track of subject follow-ups. A follow-up plan protocol is defined specific to a given study. The system can then generate follow-ups automatically after specifying a subject's enrollment date. Whenever an investigator or a study coordinator logs in, the system displays the scheduled follow-ups for the current week to remind him/her tasks regards to follow-ups. There are also search functionalities built into the system.
  • Database management consultation and supporting

Research data need to be collected accurately, managed effectively, and made accessible for analysis and reporting. This requires that data be stored in a structured way. We provide services for data management of GCRC supported protocols using Microsoft Access or SQL server.
