Research Mentoring Program

Mentored Student Clinical Research Program

This program is designed to be concurrent with the student's education and to support students engaged in a mentored program of supervised clinical research, didactic coursework related to patient oriented clinical research, and acquisition of laboratory skills that can be applied to patient oriented clinical research efforts. A GCRC subcommittee bases the selection of recipients upon a competitive review including interest and previous experience in clinical research. Students must remain in good standing in their professional studies in order to continue in the program.

Mentored student applications deadline - April 15, 2007 ***

Applicants should read Fellowship Criteria, fill out Practicum Contract and email to Dr. Sawaya, Peter or Jessica L Wehle .

The student is encouraged to consult with their existing and/or potential mentors in formulating an overall plan and must participate in a primary role in a research project within GCRC. Applicants must provide a letter of support from a Principal GCRC Investigator who agrees to participate as a research mentor for the project.
