Dr. Paul Angulo and researchers at the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center department of gastroenterology are conducting clinical research studies of persons with NASH.

Non-alcoholic steatohepatitis of the liver is a condition where fat in the liver leads to liver inflammation and damage. If you have been diagnosed with NASH, you may be eligible to be in a clinical research study evaluating the safety and effectiveness of an investigational medication for the treatment of NASH.

Eligible volunteers will receive all study related:

  • Physical exams and ECGs
  • Laboratory tests
  • Investigational medications or placebo
  • Diet and exercise counseling
  • Reimbursement for time and travel expenses
