What's inside: MRI patient services
Programs/Uses: The MRISC is an interdisciplinary center that promotes
basic, applied, and clinical research in the biomedical sciences along with patient care
in magnetic resonance imaging and spectroscopy.
Location: The MRISC adjoins the new Womens' Cancer Facility and
is one of the three buildings that make up the Markey
Cancer Center, which is located on Rose Street next to UK Hospital. A small parking lot
and drop-off circle for patients is located off Rose Street on the north side of Markey
Cancer Center.
Features: Along with the MRI and spectroscopy equipment for patient care,
about 30,000 square feet of space is devoted to research and development of biomedical
applications in magnetic resonance.
