The primary purpose of this rural training track is to provide a high quality and comprehensive education for residents to compassionately meet the needs of patients in rural and underserved areas of Kentucky and the surrounding region.

The Rural Training Track at Morehead received full accreditation by the Accreditation Council of Graduate Medical Education in May 2001.

St. Claire is the largest off-campus rotation site for the University of Kentucky Medical Center Colleges.
