Residency Global Health Program

Curriculum:
The Department of Family & Community Medicine invites incoming residents to apply for participation in the Global Health Track, a new focus-area curriculum for residents interested in learning about care of vulnerable populations at home and abroad.

This track focuses on the social determinants of health and systematic approaches to sustainable change through community engagement. The track is comprised of:

  • Longitudinal small group didactic sessions and self-study modules
  • Global Health Electives I & II including Field Experience in Ecuador
  • Global Health III (4 wks abroad)

Application:
Residents interested in the Global Health Track may apply upon acceptance to the Family & Community Medicine Residency Program by submitting a statement of interest to Residency Coordinator, Janice Thomas.
