Across the nation, citizens have the opportunity to help others by signing up to
become organ and tissue donors through state donor registries. Legislation
was passed in Kentucky during the 2006 legislative session, enabling Kentucky
residents to have their wishes documented about donation through the Kentucky
Organ Donor Registry.
The Eye Bank Association of America (EBAA) is a not-for-profit organization
of eye banks dedicated to the restoration of sight through the promotion and
advancement of eye banking.

Kentucky
Organ Donor Affiliates (KODA) originated as combination of existing organ and
tissue procurement program at the University of Kentucky and the University
of Louisville. Incorporated March 2, 1987, KODA was formed to establish a statewide
educational and procurement network.
ORBIS A nonprofit, humanitarian organization,
ORBIS works in developing countries to save sight through hands-on training,
public health education and improved access to eye care.
Vision
Share is a not-for-profit consortium of cooperating independent eye
banks that provide mutually beneficial support services to member eye banks
ensuring their surgeon client base the highest quality eye donor tissue and
services. All member eye banks conform to licensure and regulations that are in
effect in the states in which we operate.
