Ophthalmology & Visual Science

Our site is a University hospital based ophthalmology department serving the outpatient eye care needs for the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center.   Currently, we have sub-specialists in the areas of cornea, glaucoma, retina, peds, and neuro.  In addition, we have two optometrists on staff, as well as licensed opticians.  The rotation is designed to give students exposure to a wide variety of ocular disease as well as didactic exercises including grand rounds, fluorescein conference, and journal club.  The University of Kentucky is located in Lexington, KY, the heart of the Kentucky Bluegrass region famous for horseracing and UK basketball.  UK has an undergraduate enrollment over 25,000 students and it's campus is alive with student activities.  Clinic hours are M-F 8am to 5pm.  We look forward to hearing from prospective students concerning our site.  For further information please contact Dr. Cliff Caudill at cmcaud2@email.uky.edu.
