Clinical Interests

Intensive therapy of type 1 and type 2 diabetes, insulin pump therapy, continuous glucose sensor monitoring, insulinomas, and pancreas transplantation.

Research Interests

Immunology of type 1 diabetes, role of rubella virus in the pathogeneisis of type 1 diabetes, prevention of diabetes with insulin or insulin analogs, intensive control of type 2 diabetes and macrovascular complications of diabetes.
