Ms. Marcinek has been working with Dr. Kenneth Ain since 1997 in his molecular biology research laboratory, doing basic genetic research on thyroid cancer until she chose to gain her clinical credentials with a B.Sc. and a Masters in Nursing. As soon as she became certified as an APRN, she re-joined the Thyroid Oncology Program, now taking care of patients wiht thyroid cancer. It's fair to say that she's the only APRN providing care for patients with thyroid cancer who knows about thyroid cancer "from the genes." Ms. Marcinek and Dr. Ain work together on all their patients, making certain that they have a consistent and comprehensive therapeutic approach.
