Hi I am Amelia and I am a registered dental hygienist with the Delta Dental of Kentucky Clinical Research Center. I am a treatment hygienist for one of our studies here. And this is my operatory, where I do most of my treatments on our subjects. We like to have people visit us and call to see what studies are going on at the moment and if you are interested please give us a call. Thank you.

The DDKCRC has over 2000 square feet of clinical research space with 3 fully equipped examination rooms and dental operatories. Each operatory has digital radiography, Periotron for GCF and salivary measures, internet connected tablet PCs for data entry and immediate download, and all necessary instrumentation for clinical intervention studies.

The DDKCRC's close proximity and collaborations with UK's General Clinical Research Center and Clinical Research Organization provides a unique opportunity for carrying out clinical research involving multi-disciplinary teams of dentists, physicians, and healthcare ancillaries. DDKCRC has a team of clinical research coordinators experienced in NIH-funded, multidisciplinary, multi-center, clinical trials and industry sponsored FDA phase II-IV clinical studies.

Hi, my name is Lisa and I am a registered dental hygienist. I am a study coordinator for a gum disease study sponsored by Collagenex. If you think or suspect that you have gum disease or have been told that you have gum disease. We hope that you would like to be a volunteer for one of our studies. You can call our clinical research center and make an appointment for a screening.

The DDKCRC is supported by a team of basic scientists in a fully equipped core that provides opportunities for translational research, FDA phase I studies, and laboratory support of clinical trials.

Hi I am Dawn and I am dental hygienist at Delta Dental of Kentucky Clinical Research Center. My role at this point is a dental study coordinator. We actually take samples of our patients as we see them and bring to our clinical research lab to separate the by-products and to examine & do analysis to make sure whether or not we can find any links between patient’s periodontal health and their systemic health.

I am interpreter here at the dental center. We provide services for the Spanish-speaking community here in Lexington and we would like you to participate in the studies. This why we offer services in interpretation, so that those with other needs can also participate as well. Spanish

The commitment and support of Delta Dental of Kentucky and the University of Kentucky has provided previously unavailable opportunities for the citizens of Kentucky to participate in outstanding clinical research trials in oral healthcare.
