Congratulations to Dr. Andrew Morris who collaborated with Dr. Pedro Vera of the Veterans Admin Research Service and was awarded a $500,000 grant for a confocal microscope.

Congratulations to Marina Falaleeva who received an American Heart Association Post Doc Fellowship.  Dr. Andrew Morris is Co-Mentor and assisted Marina Falaleeva with the application.

Dr. Susan Smyth has been named the recipient of the 2013 Jeffrey M. Hoeg Arteriosclerosis Award for Basic Science and Clinical Research from the American Heart Association ATVB Council.  For more information, click here.

Dr. Xiangan Li has been chosen the winner of the 2013 PVD Mid-Career Investigator Award.  Dr. Li will receive his award at the ATVB/PVD Joint Council Dinner in Orlando on Thursday, May 2, 2013.

Venkat Subramanian, PhD has been awarded a grant from the Washington University DRC Pilot and Feasibility Grant for his proposal entitled Role of macrophage-specific calpain in diabetic atherosclerosis.

Nate has also received a travel award to partially fund the trip. Nate is currently a fellow on the NIH Predoctoral Interdisciplinary Cardiovascular Training Grant.

Binggang Xiang, PhD abstract selected for presentation in the Best of Hemostasis and Thrombosis session of the American Society of Hematology meeting. Dr. Xiang is a member of the Zhenyu Li laboratory.
