Core Leader, Biostatistics and Data Management Core
and Associate Director, Alzheimer Disease Center
Departmental Affiliation(s):
Statistics and Chair, Biostatistics
Research Focus:
(1) longitudinal data analysis with a focus in subareas related to Markov
transition models, shared random effects, and missing data; (2) prevention
trials in Alzheimer’s disease; (3) design and analysis of clinical trials
with emphasis on ALS, PD, and traumatic brain injury; (4) screening for
early detection of ovarian cancer; and (5) estimating relative risk on the
line using nearest neighbor statistics.

LAB MISSION
To provide expert advice on study design and data analysis to all
investigators in the Center on Aging and related programs in aging. To
conduct research on statistical methodology relevant to Alzheimer’s
disease, aging, the neurosciences, and ovarian cancer.
