CT/MRI Cardiac Imaging

The Gill Heart Institute Cardiovascular Imaging Center opened in December of 2008. The facility includes a dual source CT, 64-slice CT, 3-Tesla Cardiac MRI, and 1.5-Tesla Cardiac MRI. The Cardiovascular Imaging Center is run by Vincent L. Sorrell, MD in collaboration with Radiology. Cardiac CT is also available at the VA Medical Center and at our outreach clinic in Rockcastle, KY. Fellows will have opportunities to read and assist in performing cardiac CT and cardiac MRI.
