Evidence Based Medicine (EBM) Module

Proficient clinical practice of EBM provides the opportunity, with the application of relational skills and the right attitude, to practice both the art and science of medicine. The evidence-based medicine (EBM) module is a content selection and delivery process whereby CAM domain experts and an EBM specialist work together to prepare scientifically rigorous information about CAM interventions. The EBM module is comparable to the guidelines from the American Academy of Family Physicians for continuing education, requiring statements regarding level of evidence, specific practice recommendations that follow from evidence, and identification of evidence resources.
