Junior faculty in the Colleges of Medicine, Public Health, Pharmacy, Nursing, Health Sciences and Dentistry who are interested in developing research programs in women's health are encouraged to apply.
Formal calls for applications are made via this web page. Notices also will be sent to deans, chairs, associate deans for research, mentors and faculty members through e-mail, brochures, fliers and posters.
Applicants for the BIRCWH program must submit:
A three-page letter explaining why the applicant
is interested in research in general and women's health research in particular.
This letter should include a statement of the applicant's professional
goals and a description of research interests specifically related to
women's health, as well as an outline of their research plans.
A recent curriculum vitae.
A letter of support from the departmental chair
committing 75 percent of the applicant's professional time to the BIRCWH
program.
Three letters of support from people who can attest to the applicant's interest in and passion for research. One of these letters may be from the applicant's potential mentor, if the mentor has been selected at this early stage.
