Welcome to the Home of Girls in Research. The Girls in Research program is an exciting and fun way to learn about research.

Participants enjoy a week long summer camp experience held on the University of Kentucky campus. The girls live in a college dorm and participate in hands-on activities conducted by graduate students and professors from the University through out the week.

During the school year, the girls attend Saturday sessions that all located at a variety of colleges and community colleges in the region. The Saturday sessions provide an opportunity for the girls to see friends from camp and learn more about science and research.

"Our daughter has finished her freshmen year of high school. Boy they grow up fast. She owes a lot of her confidence and maturing to you guys and Girls in Research. You helped her come out of her shell and we appreciate it so much. She recently received her awards for cats testing. Our daughter received a distinguished in all five areas of testing reading, math, social studies, arts/humanities and on-demand writing. We are so proud of her. She is still on the academic team but she didn’t make it to state this year. She has picked a hard schedule for next year. She is taking two math and two science classes. Keep your fingers crossed."
