2004

The following project has been awarded an National Athletic Trainers' Association Research and Education Foundation Doctoral Scholarship ($2500) and the SouthEastern Athletic Trainers' Association Research Grant ($1500):

Jacobs C, Mattacola CG, Uhl TL. Relationship of Strength and Endurance of Hip Abductors to Functional Performance.

Melissa Fazio (2006) was awarded a NATA Graduate Student Scholarship at the NATA Annual Meeting and Symposium in Baltimore Maryland.

Nina Kuschinsky was awarded the Commonwealth Research Award in the amount of $300.00 in order to support her expenses to present research at the 1st International Congress of Shoulder Therapists in Washington, D.C.

Brady Tripp was awarded the Commonwealth Research Award in the amount of $700.00 in order to support his expenses to present research at the 1st International Congress of Shoulder Therapists in Washington, D.C.

The following students received $2,000 scholarships from the National Athletic Trainers Association Scholarship committee based on their academic excellence and achievements in athletic training:

Educational Multimedia Award

David Brajuha was the Educational Software Production Contest Athletic Training Student Winner for the creation of a CD in collaboration with Tim Uhl titled Core Stability Protocol.

Ann Livengood was awarded the John E. and Gwendolyn G. Partington Scholarship. College of Education. $4,000.00.

 

 

 

2002

 

Heather Mattocks (2002) and Dr. Tim Uhl were awarded a research grant from the Lexington Clinic to study Scapular Dyskinesis. 

Michelle Boling (2004) was awarded a NATA Graduate Student Scholarship at the NATA Annual Meeting and Symposium in Dallas Texas.
