AHEC Health Careers Program
To Be Held At the Harlan ARH Hospital
July 14 – 17, 2009
Southeast Kentucky Area Health Education Center (SE AHEC) in conjunction with Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College will be hosting a 4- day Summer Scrubs Camp to be held at the Harlan ARH Hospital.
The Harlan County Scrubs Camp will introduce incoming High School Freshman and Sophomore Students to a variety of
Health Careers. Students will
have the opportunity to observe and shadow health care professionals at
work; participate
in a variety of hands on health related activities; tour the Harlan ARH
Hospital; participate in a Sensitivity to Aging
Program, and visit the LMU School of Osteopathic Medicine.

Eligibility
Current Harlan County, 8th or 9th Grade Student interesting in pursuing a career in Healthcare
Must have a 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 Scale
