Laura K. Jones Cole is the Manager of the Kentucky Center for Smoke-free Policy and the Radon Awareness Project. As manager of KCSP, she coordinates community-based research and policy analysis on secondhand smoke, and works directly with community partners to educate policymakers and the public about secondhand smoke and smoke-free policy. As manager of the Radon Awareness Project, Cole also provides evidenced-based education on the dangers of radon gas exposure

Prior to her work with KCSP, Cole served as Program Coordinator for the Tennessee Intervention for Pregnant Smokers (TIPS) program, a research and service provision initiative aimed at reducing rates of smoking during pregnancy and secondhand smoke exposure in Northeast Tennessee. Through further professional and academic training, she has gained extensive experience in approaches to comprehensive substance abuse education, prevention, and cessation. She holds an M.S. in Psychology-Cognitive Neuroscience from the University of Oregon and an MA in Counseling Psychology from East Tennessee State University.
