2-D DIGE (2-D Fluorescent Difference Gel Electrophoresis) is a method of differential protein expression detection and quantitation at the protein level.  Up to three samples are labeled with one of three different fluorescent dyes, combined and separated on the same 2-D gel.  Like proteins migrate together, and the amount of a particular protein originating from each original sample is determined by scanning the gel at different wavelengths for fluorescent dye quantitation.  For additional information on 2-D DIGE go to: http://www1.gelifesciences.com/aptrix/upp01077.nsf/Content/2d_electrophoresis~new_to_2d_dige

2D gel electrophoresis:  :  Kendrick labs will provide individualized quotes for each investigator and can help plan an analysis.  Prices begin at $175 for a 16 x 13 cm Coomassie blue stained gel.

2-D Fluorescent Difference Gel Electrophoresis (2D-DIGE):  Applied Biomics will help you design your experiment.  Prices begin at $1200 for 2 CyDye labeling.
